NYFPR formed out of a group of concerned citizens and organizations who are alarmed at the state's increasing disruption of parent's right to make decisions about their children's health and welfare. We exist to provide a voice of reason to our culture and our politicians, to try to slow the erosion of parental authority in the lives of children.

Help Stop Spitzer's Dangerous Abortion Bill!
Before his resignation, former Gov. Spitzer pushed a NYS Senate Bill (S5829) which radically changes New York's existing, liberal abortion law to remove virtually all regulations and safeguards.
Under the new law, abortion no longer has to be performed by a physician, and young girls (who must have a note from home to receive Tylenol at school) can get abortions without parental notice.
